HYDROELECTRIC
POWER PLANT Two tunnels as part of the Paute complex, in Azuay. Tunnel 1 was 2,000 m with 45 m2 of cross section, with a negative slope of 10%, drilled in hard rock. Tunnel 2 of 1,167 m and variable section ranging from 132 m2 to 50 m2, horseshoe type, with a negative slope of 18% in the first 350 m and 2% in the rest.
